One evening while strolling with my new 24mm f/1.4 lens on my Canon in Beirut back in Nov.2011, I saw this couple infront of me and immediately had to snap them. After coming back to Amman, for some reason I had forgotten about this image till this morning, when I was checking a site about cool poster designs and typography and found this quote. It hit me straight away and went digging deep into my Pictures folder till I found it. A little color-correction in Lightroom and some Illustrator font-picking… This is the image I had in my head. Hope you like it… :)

These are some photo’s I took of my hometown city, Amman. I love it.. it’s a small city and usually you’re always surrounded by concrete one-color architecture most of the time and it kinda gets to you. It’s boring, it’s dull but just driving outside the city just 5min. or even inwards into the downtown area, the whole landscape changes. Outside Amman and you’ll think you’re in some highlands in Switzerland maybe, inwards into downtown and you’ll suddenly feel in a hustling-bustling 1940’s Arabian market. All these wer’re taken again with the Camera+ app, all have post-fx applied to them except one.

In continuation of the post below, this is one of my prized shots. I’ve sold a few of these as fine-art prints & still people keep asking me how I got it. Taken with a Canon G9, sitting in a jetty by a harbor in Vancouver, Canada. The sun was really strong as you can see from the harsh shadows and thus created a perfect heart alongside the little metal hook that boats wrap the rope around so as not to drift. Can you see it?
